All of these buttons were produced in England under contract to the Confederate Government. Generally they were imported to England by blockade runners to southern ports of entry & subsequently utilized throughout the Confederacy.

1) CS-1. A nice example of a Civil War period Confederate Staff Officer’s coat button. Albert # CS-1-A4. Face depicts a spread winged eagle w/ central shield bearing the letters, “CSA”. The reverse is marked, “S.ISAACS CAMPBELL & CO .LONDON. ST. JAMES. ST”. Full straight shank.

2) CS-4. A nice example of a Civil War period Confederate Staff Officer’s coat button. Albert # CS-4-A. Face depicts a full length eagle in a somewhat profile view. The reverse is marked, “H T & B * MANCHESTER * “. Full straight shank.

3) CS-5. A nice example of a Civil War period Confederate Staff Officer’s coat button. Albert # CS-5-A4. Face depicts a spread winged eagle surrounded by stars. The reverse is marked, “(crest) RIVET’D & SOLDER’D “. Full straight shank.

4) CS-36. A beautiful example of a Civil War period Confederate Staff Officer’s coat button. Albert # CS-36-A1. Face depicts a full length eagle surrounded by stars. The reverse is marked, “H T & B * MANCHESTER * “. Full straight shank.
