Bbl. 24″ oct. to rnd. Button magazine. White bead sporting front sight w/ graduated leaf rear sight & Winchester combination tang peep sight w/ finely knurled post & heavy base. Forearm & pistol grip stock of XX fancy walnut w/ ebony grip insert, style H factory checkering & crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Left inside of lower tang is marked w/ “XX” wood grade marking followed by “508”, “38” & “R”. Top tang channel of stock has corresponding markings. Inside toe of buttplate has matching no. “508”. Mfg. 1883.
