CASED COLT 1848 BABY DRAGOON REVOLVER.

Bbl. 6” octagon without provision for loading lever. Top flat has cone type brass front sight w/ standard 2 line New York address. Round five shot cyl. w/ stagecoach scene roll engraving as used on later production revolvers. Blue & case colored finish w/ silver finished backstrap & square back trigger guard. 1 Piece walnut grips. Bbl., frame, grip straps & cyl. have matching S#s. “O” marking is found below S# on grip straps. Approx. 15,000 baby dragoons were mfg. 1847-1850.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period style wood casing w/ faded red cloth fitted interior. Case contains baby dragoon style powder flask, 2 cavity brass mold, cap tin, nipple wrench, case key, bullets & round balls. Also includes 1 five round package of combustible envelope cartridges.
