Research indicates that only 155 Model 1894 Winchesters left the factory with case hardened frames. Bbl. 26″ octagon with sporting sights. 2/3 length mag held by a single bbl. band. Action & forend cap have desirable case colored finish. Forend & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of XXX walnut have striking burl figure. Features include style “H” checkering & hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Left side of lower tang is marked with assembly number “2427” followed by “OH” & “RB”. Top tang channel of the stock has matching assembly number.
