The iconic Henry rifle was important during the US Civil War & evokes images of the United States frontier expansion. Approx. 1400 Henrys were produced 1860-1866. Bbl. 24″ octagon w/ German silver blade front sight & sporting leaf rear sight. Integral tubular mag. is loaded by rotating the shroud at the muzzle end. Brass receiver. Walnut stock w/ early style rounded brass crescent buttplate. Top tang channel of stock along w/ stock & buttplate screws have matching S# 340. S# indicates mfg. in 1862 during the Civil War.
