BEAUTIFUL DEWIL-LIEGE COLT 1860 GOLD ENGRAVED REVOLVER

Original 1860 Colt revolver engraved by Dewil of Liege, Belgium. Frame, backstrap, cyl., bbl. & loading lever have panels of fine scroll engraving. Panels are surrounded by gold borders leading to areas of raised gold wire inlaid scroll. Gold inlaid figures on the bbl. flats & frame include hunting dogs, pheasants & foxes. Gold finished trigger guard w/ matching scroll.
Top of bbl. has gold inlaid marking “ADDRESS-COL-SAMl COLT-NEW-YORK-US-AMERICA”. Bottom of bbl. lug has gold inlaid mfg. marking “DEWIL-LIEGE”. Sides of frame have gold inlaid “COLT’S PATENT” markings. Action screws are gold finished. Trigger guard & frame have matching original numbers. Bbl. has remarked matching number. Numbers are not visible on backstrap or cyl. due to engraving. Bbl. 8″ round w/ German silver blade sight. Bbl. & cyl. have a fine brown finish. Frame, hammer, loading lever & backstrap have a case colored finish. Trigger is fire blued. 1 piece walnut grip w/ fine hand checkering & leaf carving.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood casing w/ red velour fitted interior. Case contains a nickel finished powder flask, 2 cavity brass bullet mold & case key.
