Six shot fluted cyl. Full coverage Class D engraving consisting of vine type foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds & fancy borders. Loading gate is engraved w/ sunburst design. Backstrap is engraved “PEACEMAKER”. Engraver’s signature “J. ADAMS” is found on the front of the frame below the cyl. pin. Adams & Adams were factory Colt engravers for a period of over 20 years. Full gold finish w/ fire blued trigger, ejector head, cyl. pin & screws. 2 piece grips w/ gold rampant colt medallions. Grips appear to be ancient Mammoth Ivory having a mottled blue, brown & cream colored appearance w/ dark grain streaks. Mfg. 1975.
