FINE COLT ENGLISH CASED ETCHED PANEL “FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER
Standard configuration, 7.5” barrel, full round front sight, one-line Hartford address, “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” etched panel on left side, crisp “44” and small London proofs forward of the base pin. “44CAL” stamped on left front web of trigger bow. Frame stamped on left side with three-line patent marks, right side stamped P9503 in large font upside down dies, mounted with high polish varnished grips. This revolver was one of 110 Frontier Six Shooters shipped to the London agency in 1887. The accompanying red baize lined English oak case has illustrated directions paste inside lid.
