Bbl. 26″ solid rib w/ hand matted top. Fixed Skeet choke. White target front sight. Spectacular hand engraving by master engraver Angelo Bee. Right side mountain scene depicts a gold & silver inlaid eagle catching a flying sharptail grouse as three more flee. Left side upland scene shows 4 gold inlaid rooster pheasants w/ one being attacked by a hawk. Scenes are surrounded by vine type foliate scroll w/ stippled backgrounds that extends to upper & lower receiver areas. Top of receiver has a silver inlaid dove. Scenes & edges have gold wire inlaid borders. Serial numbers, proof marks, choke marking & takedown arrow are also inlaid in gold. Complimentary engraving extends to receiver extension as well as breech ends & muzzle of bbl. & mag. band. Engraver’s signature “ABEE” followed by a small honeybee is found at lower edge of left side game scene. Custom aftermarket beavertail forearm & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock of fancy walnut. Double diamond deluxe style borderless custom hand checkering. LOP: 14 1/4″ over a Winchester buttplate. Mfg. 1948.
