Circa 1815. Watercolor and gouache on paper signed lower right “Montardier, Havre”. Inscription on eglomise panel beneath the painting reads “Ship Woodbury Cap’n Seth J Whelden Going Into Havre”. SIZE: overall 25 1/2″ x 33″, sight 16 1/2″ x 22 1/2″. PROVENANCE: Pennsylvania Estate Collection.
