Unsigned watercolor on paper affixed to thin board. Ship is depicted in calm waters, from the stern, sails up with the crew towing the ship. There are two labels on backboard; one in handwritten text “HMS Reindeer making all sails at day lite in chase of the wasp”, “Rowling and Browne Framers, Gilders and Carvers. Looking Glass Makers…”. SIZE: overall 19″ x 24″, sight 15 1/2″ x 20″. PROVENANCE: Martin Lane Historic & Western Americana Lifetime Collection.
