RARE ALL ORIGINAL TETE JUMEAU MECHANICAL BOX DOLL.

Circa 1890. Dolls of this type are recognized for the high quality of the head and facial features. This example features wide blue eyes and closed mouth having a natural appearance. Presented with blonde hair and brown pleated dress with jacket, lace overskirt, matching boots & socks, and holding a bouquet. The doll is marked in red “Tete Jumeau Depose S.G.D.C. 4”. The music box in playing order, head moves to sniff bouquet as it is raised in left hand. SIZE: 18″ h overall.
