U.S. SPRINGFIELD GARAND MODEL M1D SEMI-AUTO MILITARY SNIPER RIFLE WITH CMP PAPERS

Bbl. 24″ marked on right side “S-A 8 52”. Throat gauges 2.0. Muzzle gauges 1.0. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Top of sight blade has file marks. Original arsenal reworked M1D Sniper rifle with matching CMP bill of sale, packing list and purchasing instructions. Bill of sale is dated 3/30/99. Rifle is complete with M84 plus scope mt., Flash hider and NOS, leather cheekpiece which is not installed. The scope base has a correctly staked alignment pin. Original scope mt. has “50 click” attachment knob. Hinge pin has the original flat ends. Blued steel scope has nomenclature plate marked “TELESCOPE / M84 / SERIAL NO. 15965.” Scope tube has additional no. “7667424” on the right side of the tube between turrets and objective lens. Flip up turret caps are present. Sliding sunshade is present. Scope has correct post and horizontal crosshair reticle. All visible rifle parts are marked “SA”. Stamped trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked with “P” proof under grip. Stock is drilled at belly for the 2 cheek pad attaching screws. Stock has inconspicuous inletted walnut repair with 4 brass pins on both sides underneath floorplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: flash hider is marked “HIDER, FLASH M2” / “THE HART MFG CO”. Unissued tan leather cheek pad with rawhide thong and screws plus matching paperwork as described above. CONDITION: stock set has a dark stained arsenal rework finish with very light wear and scattered small handling marks. Metal retains nearly all of its arsenal rework parkerized finish with only light wear and scattered small spots of missing finish. Scope retains a very large degree of its original blue finish with only very light wear. Optics appear clear and serviceable. Near excellent shiny bore.
