LOT 2238 – WESTLEY RICHARDS BEST QUALITY SIDELOCK 12 & 20 GAUGE CASED 2 GUN SET

Both guns have hand detachable sidelock actions with full coverage vine type foliate scroll engraving. Features include double underlug and third bite locking, side clips, ejectors and gold finished non-selective triggers. Case colored actions have gold finished pins and cocking rods. All barrels are chopper lump with narrow hand filed game ribs, steel beads and are nitro proofed for 3 1/4 tons. Splinter forearms and straight hand stocks of fancy walnut with hand checkering and teardrop points having name shields at toelines.

Choke constriction: R .030 L .034. Minimum wall thickness: R .033 L .032. LOP: 15 1/8″ over leather covered pad. DAC: 1 7/16″. DAH: 2 1/2″. Stock has approximately 1/4″ cast off. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 gun motoring case with green velour interior. Lid of case has maker’s label. Case contains cleaning rods and snap caps for 20 and 12 gauge barrels. Westley Richards and Company authenticity certificates for both guns showing completion in 1964, built for A.D. Walker Esq. Also includes copy of ledger page. Verification and authenticity letter dated 26 March, 2012. Letter states replacement cost at the time for both guns and case would be 105,650.00 pounds sterling.
