03-1816
Cal. 7.62x45R
S# 6172
Bbl. 30″. A beautiful example of a WWI German Maxim Machine Gun assembled in the Russian Model 1910 configuration, as reworked by the Finish. NFA Registry lists the manufacturer / importer as “Germany WWI Spandau 1917”. Although the paperwork states 7.92 as the caliber it is presently chambered in 7.62x54R. The receiver & sideplates retain their German markings. The fusee cover is Russian, retaining some of the original nomenclature, highlighted in white for a sharp contrast and easier to read. The Top cover & the majority of the remaining parts are Finish, many bearing matching serial numbers. This example has a smooth water jacket, matching in finish to the armor plate & 1910 Sokolov wheeled mount. Exposed blade front sight coinciding w/ slot in armor plate to line up with the windage & elevation adjustable rear sight, marked from 100 meters to 2000 meters. Blued finish on receiver & all exposed metal parts rearward of the armor plate. Matching painted green finish on water jacket, armor plate & tripod. Hardwood spade grips w/ blued hardware. MAGS: 1 cloth belt w/ brass eyelets & tabs.
