BEAUTIFUL WINCHESTER 1892 J. LOWE NO.6 ENGRAVED TRAPPER STYLE LEVER ACTION CARBINE

Mfg. 1904. This carbine was custom engraved by engraver J. Lowe in 2010. Lowe is best know for his work as an engraver with Tiffany. Round bbl. shortened to 17 1/2 inch w/ reattached ramp mounted bead front sight, filler in rear dovetail w/ combination tang sight. Button mag. Action has wonderfully executed custom hand engraving in the factory style no.6 pattern. Right side scene depicts a whitetail buck & left side depicts a bull moose. Scenes are surrounded by arabesque scroll w/ fancy borders that continue to upper & lower receiver areas. Breech end of bbl. has a single gold band. Engraved on lower tang behind trigger is engraver’s signature “J. LOWE 2010”. Blue finish w/ case colored hammer & lever. Custom 7 17/32 inch forearm & hard rubber capped custom pistol grip stock of fancy walnut w/ case colored crescent steel buttplate w/ factory style F hand carving. Mfg. 1904.
