FN HIGH POWER PISTOL, DANISH CONTRACT, DOCUMENTED RIG

25-1624
Cal. 9mmP (9mm Luger)
S# 0311

Although Denmark entered into negotiations with FN to supply HP pistols for their military in 1940, WWI delayed filling their contract until 1946 at which point approx. 1700 pistols were shipped to Denmark. This early and complete rig; this exact SN is recorded in the Vanderlinden HP book, 3rd Edition, Vol 3, page, 764, is an entirely original pistol whose front sight has been modified per Danish contract stipulation, now with a flat top and serrated rear surface. Standard drift adjustable rear sight. Thumbprint slide, internal extractor, and ring hammer. The left side of slide with usual three line address and scattered Belgian proofs in usual locations including the barrel hood that is also marked with the 9mmP caliber. Danish military markings on left side of frame referencing model and issue number, the issue number acting as the SN, also repeated on the left (hidden) side of barrel hood, right side of slide and right side of frame. Magazine safety present. Fitted with walnut checkered/bordered grips, the left panel recessed for a rotatable lanyard ring that is present. Primary and spare mags have an aluminum follower, phosphate body, and a painted button-retained floorplate. Complete with an original Danish military holster with Crown/HV marking on lower flap and an unmarked steel cleaning rod.
