LARGE POLISHED CROSS SECTION OF CAMPO DEL CIELO METALLIC METEORITE

15.5″ x 11.5″ irregular cross section about 5mm thick, 4.5 pounds, treated with acid to show crystal pattern of the iron-nickel alloy known as Widmanstätten structure after the early 19th century scientist discovered the beautiful matrix that some iron meteorite sections will show. This is an exquisite cross section showing structure over all its surface. Accompanying 38″ decorative wood pedestal & stand for display.
