CMSC MODEL 21 “GRAND AMERICAN” 20 GA./410 TWO BARREL SET WITH CASE

Two sets of 28″ bbls fitted w/ raised matted vent ribs have 3 1/2″ triangles of scroll engraving at breech ends. Bbl flats are engine turned. Flats of 410 bbls are milled out to reduce weight. Both flats are stamped w/ S#, gauge, and chamber information. Both bbl sets are marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL” & w/ choke markings, “WS1” and “WS2”. Loops are stamped “1” on 20 Ga. set & “2” on .410. Maker’s name & address is at base on both loops. Blued flat side boxlock Model 21 action features automatic safety & gold plated single selective trigger. Water table is milled out to reduce weight. Breech face is engine turned. Action is engraved in usual Model 21 Grand American style w/ near full coverage, varying size scroll w/ in feather borders. Scroll surrounds oval scenes of flush gold inlaid bird dogs on sides w/ an alert setter on left, & pointing pointer on right. Trigger plate, also scroll engraved, has circular vignette of a pair of gold pheasant standing on ground. Portrait of a dog is inlayed on trigger guard bow. Fences are deeply relief carved in usual Grand American oak leaf & acorn style. Straight grip buttstock of very fine crotch figured American walnut measures 14 3/8” over checkered wood butt. Stock is 21-B carved w/ fleur de lis intrusions & ribbons through pattern. A vacant gold oval is on toeline. Each bbl set has its own dedicated braced beavertail ejector forend w/ inlet ebony tip, engine turned internals (marked “1” and “2”) & usual Model 21 J spring & knurled button release. DAH: 2 1/4”. DAC: 1 7/16”. WEIGHT: 20ga – 6 lbs. 12 oz. and .410 – 7 lbs. 4 oz.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather case w/ stitched leather corners lined in burgundy cloth. A Winchester Repeating Arms Co. gold embossed black leather label is in lid. Case contains 2-piece cleaning rod w/ brushes, etc. in two black leather wallets & a pair of snap caps for each Ga.
