The 30″ demi-block barrels are fitted with flat matted solid rib. Left side of top barrel is marked “A. GALAZAN” and right side is marked with Connecticut Shotgun name and address. Barrel flat is marked with S# and caliber information. Coin finished completely pinless low profile Boss style O/U action is fitted with non-automatic safety (“SAFE” inlaid in gold) and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with full coverage truly exceptional large open scroll with beaded highlights which is beautifully shaded. On bottom of action is an intricately detailed Bulino scene of wild hog or Russian boar standing in open field with sprigs of grass in foreground and dramatic woods behind. Lockplates are completely engraved with Bulino scenes of a black lab. On left lockplate he is retrieving a mallard from a cattail swamp. On right side he is retrieving a ring neck pheasant from a cut-over corn field. Top lever pivot is engraved with a portrait of this dog and a mallards head is exposed when the gun is opened. Backgrounds are also amazingly detailed. This fine work is by the well known father and son team Giancarlo & Stefano Pedretti whose signature appears on trigger plate and lower left of duck scene. The fine relief scroll continues on to single beaded trigger guard bow and tang which has S# inlaid in gold. Straight grip buttstock is made of a fine piece of stump figured and well marbled European walnut and measures 14-5/8″ over checkered wood butt with engraved steel heel and toe plates. Stock features drop points, well cut borderless point pattern checkering at grip and a gold oval on toeline engraved “RJB”. Matching full one piece ejector forend with Anson type release has iron shaped in classic Boss style which is engraved to match action.
