Bbl. 24″ octagon. Sporting front sight w/ replacement German silver blade & replacement sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Blue finish w/ case colored action. Forearm & straight grip walnut stock w/ nicely grained walnut & factory checkering. Crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Left inside of lower tang has “XX” wood grade marking followed by assembly number “276”. Top tang channel of stock has matching assembly number “276”.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: included are two letters from the Buffalo Bill Historical center. Both relay the same following information, “Type: Rifle / Barrel Type: Octagon / Trigger: Plain / Checkered Stock / Caschardened / Received in warehouse on March 13, 1877 / Shipped from warehouse on September 20, 1877, Order number 10117”.
