This is a fine London Colt model 1851 Navy revolver impeccably inscribed “Col. W. H. Taylor”. Nick Penachio who had a magnificent collection of inscribed Colts, believed this to have belonged to Robert E Lee’s well known aide Walter H. Taylor who held rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
