Standard configuration with scarce longer blued 6″ octagonal barrel, only 225 estimated production, integral 6-shot spring loaded magazine, fixed notch rear sight, pinched post front sight, brass frame, varnished walnut grips. Manufactured between 1857-1860 after reorganization of the Volcanic Arms Company by New Haven Arms. Configuration virtually identical with additional barrel markings: “THE VOLCANIC ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN / PATENT FEB 14 1854” on top flat.
