Scarce Mexican Obregon pistol whose production was limited to 1,000 pistols, all having a rotary bbl. conceptually similar to the Nickl design implemented in the early CZ pistols and the Steyr-Hahn. The Obregon has a fixed half-moon front sight and a drift adj. rear sight separated by a shallow checkered rib. The left side of the slide is marked “SISTEMA OBREGON/ CALIBRE 11.43”. The right side of the frame is marked with the name of the factory in Mexico, the patent #, and the S#. Left side of frame mounted with an exaggerated single piece slide release/safety. Fitted with a grip safety, a vertically serrated palm swell, and coarsely checkered walnut panels secured by 2-screws. Fixed lanyard at base of frame. This example with a modified Colt mag. MAGS: 1 7-rd.
