Bbl. 7 1/2″ with Hartford address and blade sight. 6-shot fluted cyl. Bullseye ejector rod head. Black powder frame. Full nickel finish. Frame, bbl., grip straps, and cyl. have 50% coverage of vine type foliate scroll hand engraving with punch dot backgrounds. It was common practice for many Colt distributors to order guns without embellishment and then send them to the New York engraving shops that did the work for the factory. Engraving on this gun is of New York style and was likely done at the shop of L. D. Nimschke. Custom 2-piece pearl steer head grips. Frame, bbl., cyl., and grip straps have matching numbers.
