SCARCE & DESIRABLE “ARMY & NAVY C.S.L” MARKED WEBLEY-FOSBERY MODEL 1903 AUTOMATIC REVOLVER WITH HOLSTER

Webley-Fosbery Model 1903 automatic (auto-cocking) revolver mfg. by Webley & Scott. The left sideplate is marked with Webley & Scott’s winged bullet logo above “W&S”, followed by “455 CORDITE”. The top of the bbl. rib is marked “ARMY & NAVY C.S.L”, indicating purchase by the Army & Navy Stores, whom purchased a variety of goods to supply to military officers and their families at affordable rates. Left side of the top strap is marked “WEBLEY FOSBERY”. Small British proofs are present overall. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the hammer, which exhibits a black enamel type finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown vulcanite grips. Fixed blade front sight with integral U-notch rear sight on bbl. latch/lever. Butt is fitted with a lanyard swivel and ring. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, safety lever, bbl. latch, cyl., bbl., internals, as well as the grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct brown leather holster with brass fittings, marked “J&A.HILLMAN LD 1913” on the rear.
