SCARCE RHEINMETALL LARGE FRAME MODEL 1910 DREYSE SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL

1 of approx. less than 600 Model 1910 Dreyse pistols produced by Rheinische Metallwaaren & Maschinenfabrik (Rheinmetall). While a considerable amount of these pistols were ordered by German Langendarmerie and other German police units, Rheinmetall was unable to produced any notable amounts of functioning pistols, with the Model 1910 Dreyse being deemed unfit for duty and subsequently replaced. The left side of the upper assembly is marked “Rheinische Metallwaaren & Maschinenfabrik/ ABT. SOMMERDA.”, with “DREYSE” marked on the right above the ejection port. Right side of the frame, upper assembly, slide, and breechblock exhibit a faint Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a dull reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl. and bbl. bushing, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black horn grips, each featuring a “RMF” monogram at the top of the panel. Interior of left grip panel is etched “58”, with “38” etched on the interior of the right panel. Slide features a matte rib with an integral blade front sight and V-notch rear sight cut into the checkering cocking panels. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, upper assembly, bbl., bbl. bushing, breechblock, as well as the slide. 1 matching 8-rd. mag. with transverse indicator holes. Right side of mag. body is marked “18”, with the full S# marked on the floorplate.
