FACTORY ENGRAVED COLT FIRST GEN FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SAA REVOLVER WITH FACTORY LETTER
25-6133 | Cal. 44-40. | S# 261259. | Bbl. 4 3/4″ with blade front sight.
Revolver appears to be done in the pattern of Colt Factory engraver Cuno Helfrict. Frame features foliate scroll engraving over punch dot background with wavy line notes ahead of cyl. Recoil shield and loading gate have sunburst pattern. Wavy line zigzag pattern intersecting punch dot engraving encompasses rear of cyl. as well as full length of ejector housing flat. In between cyl. flutes have alternating foliate scroll & zigzag engraving, also indicative of Helfricht. Left side of bbl. roll stamped “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” inside banner surrounded by foliate scroll. Revolver is stocked with 2 piece mother of pearl grips.
