SCARCE HIGH TURRET MAUSER K98K BOLT ACTION SNIPER RIFLE.
26-16 | Cal. 8×57 (8mm Mauser). | S# 47885k. | Bbl. 23 1/2″.
Blade front sight without hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on receiver, bbl., bolt handle, cocking piece, bolt shroud & front scope ring. Other parts appear unnumbered as-is typical for late war guns. Safety is unnumbered & of the shortened variety to allow scope clearance. 1944 Mauser Oberndorf High turret sniper rifle that is fresh to market with a “Closet Find” appearance. Rifle has a bek 4x power scope numbered ‘77209″. Scope has post reticle with good optics. Left side of rear base & left of receiver have proper have eagle “135’ markings. Rear base is missing upper screw & rear sight is loose & appears to be missing a detent. Trigger guard & floorplate are both “byf” coded. Blued finish. Laminated stock set with partially faded eagle “135” inspection stamp & correct checkered buttplate. Left side sling provisions with original sling. No cleaning rod present. STATUS: CURIO.
