SHARPS-BORCHARDT SHORT RANGE SINGLE SHOT SHOT TARGET RIFLE
01-27590 | Cal. 40, 1 7/8″. | S# 17472.
Bbl. 26″ rnd. with standard “Old Reliable” marking. Globe front sight with Lawrence patent graduated leaf rear sight and mid-range Vernier tang sight. Falling block action with plain trigger. Schnabel tipped forearm and “S” curved pistol grip walnut stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate having Sharps Rifle Co. monogram and point pattern factory checkering. Of approx. 8,700 Borchardt rifles mfg. 1878-1881, approx. 153 were of the scarce short range model. Weight: 8lbs. 14oz. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
