ATTRACTIVE FACTORY ENGRAVED NEW HAVEN ARMS VOLCANIC CARBINE
01-28811 | Cal. 41. | S# 2903.
Standard configuration 16.5” octagonal barrel, integral spring loaded full length loading tube, “REPEATING ARMS CO / NEW HAVEN CONN PATENT FEB 14 1854” stamped on top flat. Factory engraved brass frame and butt plate, varnished burl walnut butt stock. These peculiar “rocket ball” precursors to Henry rifles were made 1857-1860. This is attractive survivor with nicely patinaed engraved brass frame. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
