RARE 15″ WINCHESTER 94 TRAPPER SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH ATF EXEMPTION LETTER

This is a good honest example of a rare Winchester Trapper model carbine with a 15″ nickel steel bbl that has a riser with pinned bead front sight & short carbine adjustable leaf sporting rear sight. It is marked with “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21, 1894” bbl address on the left side of the bbl forward of the bbl band and “-.30 W.C.F.” caliber marking. The saddle ring straight grip frame is marked with the late “MODEL 94 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN.” tang marking. It has a carbine stock set with 7 7/8″ forearm that is held in place with a single bbl band and butt that terminates with a smooth steel carbine butt plate.
