SPECTACULAR RUGER S# 55 OLD MODEL 44 FLAT TOP BLACKHAWK REVOLVER WITH BOX

6 1/2″ with serrated blade integral to ramped base as front sight plus frame mounted Micro adjustable rear sight having index mark on elevation screw. Mfg. 1956 per published references (1956-1962) as BKH-46 but likely subscription supplied in 1957 with standard Type 2 (8,000 units) features of flat topped cylinder frame, dimpled ejector rod head, steel offset ejector housing, early Blackhawk base pin with narrow lands and no collar, capped base pin latch plus XR3 alloy grip frame with nicely figured contoured walnut (standard) grips having black eagle medallions. Barrel has Southport address without eagle logo or “INC.”; eagle logo on cylinder frame. Does not have factory safety update parts; original lockwork. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good matching numbered (red grease pencil on label edge) original box with tape repaired breaks on right front corner of top and bottom. Top near label has “3-31-57”. Very nice March 31, 1957 manual for Single-Six, Lightweight, 357 and 44 Blackhawks. Unusual warranty and NRA card made to attach by its string to the triggerguard.
