U.S. WWI SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1903 MARK 1 BOLT-ACTION RIFLE

Replacement barrel is marked behind front sight “SA / flaming bomb / 10 42”. Ladder rear sight with volley notch graduated 2,850 yards. Blade front sight with protective cover. Receiver has the correct markings and ejection port for the WWI Pedersen Device. Replacement Model 1903A3 bolt electro-penciled to match. All milled furniture including smooth trap buttplate. Walnut stock set, replacement buttstock shows hobbyist gunsmith type workmanship. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Model 1905 bayonet. 15 7/8″ fullered blade. 20 1/2″ overall. Blued blade is marked “SA / flaming bomb / 1908” on left ricasso. Right ricasso has “U.S. / 242848”. Walnut grips retained by single screw. Leather scabbard with leather throat and tip. Scabbard is equipped with the Model 1907 belt hook and is marked on the back “R.I.A. / 1908. / H.E.K.”. This is a very scarce and desirable scabbard and bayonet. Blade has worn thinning blue. Grips have moderate wear with tiny missing chips. Scabbard has wear, scuffing and staining throughout while remaining generally serviceable with tight stitching.
