The 2nd variation 1891 is differentiated from the 1st variation with changes that were made to the loading process with the 2nd variations being tube loaded rather than side loading 1st models. This model has a 2-piece trigger & sear. It is fitted with a 24″ round bbl with dovetailed German silver blade front sight, elevator adj sporting rear sight, & second variation bbl address ” MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT.
