Bbl. 26″ oct with German silver blade front sight and elevator adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight. Case hardened receiver, lever, buttplate and forend cap. Blued bbl., mag tube and bolt. Fancy checkered walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock of XX walnut with ebony insert and crescent steel buttplate. Lower tang marked “62 XX”. Upper tang channel of stock marked with matching assembly number “62”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Winchester Factory letter stating the following: “Serial number applied September 06, 1887 / Type: Rifle / Caliber: 40/82 / Barrel Type: Octagon / Trigger: Plain / Checkered stock, Pistol grip / Received in warehouse on October 12, 1893 / Shipped from warehouse on October 12, 1893, Order number 667”. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
