Folding bipod between muzzle & protected post front sight / gas block. Box style heavy forend. Folding carry handle on top of front handguard. Vertical foregrip below forend. Carry handle upper receiver w/ brass deflector. No forward assist. Windage & elevation adjustable, dual aperture rear peep sight. Open bolt operation. As correct for LMG variants, safe / full, function only (not select fire). Left side lower receiver markings include: “COLT / M16A2 / CAL: 5.56MM” above serial number on left side mag-well.
