VERY FINE & VERY EARLY 1st MODEL COLT DRAGOON REVOLVER
01-28160 | Cal. 44. | S# 1434.
This revolver was made in Hartford in 1848; the 1st Hartford civilian dragoon was S# 1341, the earliest revolvers are very rare and this is among the finest survivors known. Most of this production was sold rapidly and went west, finding a fine 1st model with finish is a rarity. PROVENANCE: Martin Lane lifetime collection. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
