SCARCE LUFTWAFFE CONTRACT KRIEGHOFF “S” CODE P.08 LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL

. P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Krieghoff under contract for the Luftwaffe in 1936. The bbl. extension is marked with an “S” (1936) date code, with x2 early pattern Eagle/2 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Various small parts are properly marked with Krieghoff’s Eagle/2 inspector proof, with limited disassembly to include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate (and trigger lever), trigger, safety bar, hold-open latch, bbl., breechblock, firing pin, firing pin retainer, as well as the toggle links, Toggle is marked with Krieghoff’s (“Type B-2” die, “The Krieghoff Parabellum” by Randall Gibson) “H (ANCHOR) K/ SUHL” logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, bbl. extension, breechblock, and toggles. Grips and remaining parts are unnumbered. MAGS: x1 non-matching (S#: 3600d) blued steel mag. with aluminum plug marked with a Mauser Eagle/63 proof. STATUS: CURIO.
