Blade front sight without hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 800m. Left side of receiver marked “MP-44”. The MP/STG-44 needs no introduction to firearms & military history enthusiasts, as the first widely used assault rifle in history. Underside of receiver has Steyr “bnz” & faint Charles Erb marking. NFA paperwork lists “Charles Erb” as mfr. Parts have mixed numbers. Metal has a mix of blue & black enamel finishes. Later style hardwood buttstock that is missing its trapdoor & grooved pistol grip panels. Very few of these devices were made & fewer survived making this a rare opportunity to the advanced WW2 or German arms collector to acquire a holy grail.
