CONFEDERATE STATES ARMORY STAFF & FIELD OFFICER’S SWORD

Among the most unique Confederate designed officer sword was made with CSA pierced design in hilt. The sword was made by Louis Froilich at his Confederate States Armory in Kenansville NC. Sword is 38 inches overall with bright 31.5” unstopped fuller blade. The original scabbard unique to Froelich is lap seamed sheet iron, small brass ring mounts, pinned brass throat, distinctive sculpted iron drag with flaring round lobes, scabbard body lacquered. This is a beautiful “as found” Froelich staff with fine patina. STATUS: NON-GUN.
