VERY FINE JAPANESE T99 MACHINE GUN WITH KATANA, WAKIZASHI & MORE

Blade front sight with protective ears. Drum adjustable rear sight. Receiver mounted Tokyo arsenal 2.5×13 T99 scope. Scope has T99 reticle, very good clear optics & the rubber eyepiece is present but shows notable chipping. Matching numbers on receiver, bbl., bolt, locking block, ejection port cover, top cover, rear sight, bbl. nut & front of gas cyl. Flash hider does not match. Very fine example of a Japanese Type 99 Nambu LMG. Right side of receiver has Kokura, Hitachi & Type 99 markings with 18.6 Showa date for June, 1943. These markings have added white highlight making them standout. NFA registry lists Japanese Govt as mfr. blue finish. Asian hardwood furniture with bipod & monopod. MAGS: 1-30 rd. numbered “9172”. This exceptional firearm is accompanied by a parts katana measuring 39″ overall with a 27 3/8″ blade showing no hamon because of improper cleaning. The wooden tsuka has a high covering and a simple brass fuchi. Wooden saya with a brown leather covering. The wakizashi measures 31″ overall with a 21 1/2″ blade with no discernible hamon. Iron tsuba with 1 seppa below. Nakago has a single mekugi-ana. Tsuka has an attractive fuchi, but no kashira. White same but no tsuka-ito or menuki. Saya is black enameled wood. The remainder of the lot includes a Japanese bugle with tassel, a Japanese canteen with sling, a Japanese cleaning rod set in pouch, and a green rubberized canvas scope case. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 books on collecting Japanese weapons.  PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE.  STATUS: CURIO, CLASS III.
