Standard configuration of military caliber Colt full stock model 1855 sporting rifle, 27” barrel, 3 position adjustable rear sight graduated to 600 yards, German silver blade front sight, plain straight grain walnut stocks. Left side of butt stock carved “J. E. Randolph / So Ca / War 1860”. Interesting inscription, speculation as to identity of J.E. Randolph, but impeccably carved and a scarce Colt revolving rifle. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Don Ball, American Heritage investments paid invoice Oct. 10, 1990, and letters stating provenance to Jefferson County Georgia Confederate Sergeant in GA Militia.
