GOOD 1863 DATED RICHMOND ARMORY CARBINE

This is a very good example of an original Richmond Armory muzzle loading carbine assembled with parts on hand. Standard configuration, 25” barrel, unique pinched front sight, adjustable rear carbine sight, unsurcharged iron butt plate & brass nose cap. Threaded ramrod and unique original Richmond configuration of 3 sling swivels. Correct Richmond VP proofed barrel, correct die fonts and “broken P”, lock markings very good “C.S. / RICHMOND” and “1863”. PROVENANCE: David Berenson estate collection. ANTIQUE GUN
