VERY FINE NEW HAVEN ARMS VOLCANIC CARBINE

Rare configuration with 21” octagonal barrel, integral spring loaded full length loading tube, “NEW HAVEN CONN PATENT FEB 14 1854” stamped on top flat. Brass frame & buttplate, high polish varnished walnut butt stock. These peculiar “rocket ball” precursors to Henry rifles were made 1857-1860. This attractive survivor is very well preserved with most of its original factory finish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: bill of sale & letter of authenticity Dave Condon 1992.
