CASED ROHNER ENGRAVED COLT 3RD GEN. SAA REVOLVER

Bbl. 4 3/4″ having standard (unengraved) front sight blade and corresponding frame notched rear sight. Mfg. 2004 with standard smokeless powder frame having push button cylinder pin release. John R. Rohner was a charter member of the Firearms Engravers’ Guild of America and highly regarded for his work. He was actively engraving until age 90; born 1923 and died 2021. The ejector housing is signed “John R. Rohner Engraver”. Fully scroll engraved with coin finish having minimal areas without engraving to include portions of grip straps and an “X” banner pattern as viewed looking down onto the top of the barrel. Ivory grips with pleasing cream tones; smooth on left side and large steer head on right that acts as a palm swell. It’s Colt medallions have a patina bronze appearance. Stunning appearance by a highly regarded engraver. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: attractive hardwood case by Ozzie Woodcraft of Longmont, CO that appears to be mahogany. Interior is French fitted green velvet. Some exterior handling marks and an epoxy repair by the left hinge on base portion; missing one hinge screw. Includes case key. Near excellent interior.
