Unique 1920s Commercial Carbine with 11 3/4″. Luger enthusiasts are well aware that there are many variations of the Model 1920 Commercial Carbine. This example, with a number of more recently added features, includes: an 11 3/4″ bbl. with an extended ramp front sight with stippled surface and rounded nose, standard 4-position sliding rear sight with 3-digit numeration. Blank chamber and usual toggle with intertwined “DWM” monogram on front toggle link. Full S# on lower surface of frame projection that was added to an early long frame, the full S# repeated under the bbl., adjacent to a Crown/N proof, the last 3-digits on all the usual parts, to include: the bbl. extension lug, takedown lever, side plate, trigger, and all three components of the toggle train, for end, and each of the grips. The bbl. / frame fit altered by addition of a shim and chamber with a rough non-factory finished inner surface. For end missing the internal plunger assembly and thin wood shims having been added to the inner surface, forward of the sight base. MAGS: x1 8-rd. tinned mag. with wood plug marked “Cal. 9 m/m”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: stock with an unmarked lug and a buffalo horn butt plate, widows peak, and serrated base. Complete with a reproduction black leather-bound hard case with matching handle and nickeled fittings, lined in forest green suede, the lid with an inserted black / gold DWM label referencing Berlin and “Parabellum – Pistole”. French fitted interior for separate pistol, stock, leather should strap, Swiss configuration brass oiler / shaft cleaning rod, sealed package of 9mm Parabellum ammunition, and a small, lidded compartment for accessories.
