LARGE FRAME NO. 2 VOLCANIC ARMS LEVER ACTION PISTOL

Pistol is in standard configuration with originally blued 8” octagonal barrel, integral spring-loaded magazine, fixed notch rear sight, pinched post front sight, brass frame, varnished walnut grips. Manufactured between 1855-1857 after Smith & Wesson sold their interest in lever action pistols forming the Volcanic Arms Company. Barrel markings: “THE VOLCANIC / REPEATING ARMS CO. / PATENT / NEW HAVEN CONN / FEB 14, 1854” on top flat. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original Volcanic “rocket ball” cartridge.
