VERY FINE CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 1861 NAVY REVOLVER

This outstanding example is one of the highest condition 1861 navy revolvers you will find. About 20,000 made during Civil War, and most are well used and saw hard service, this example was made early 1864. Most high condition 1861 survivors are postwar production. Standard configuration, blue and case finish, 7.5” round barrel, 1-line NEW YORK US AMERICA address, full German silver crescent inset front sight, rolled naval battle cylinder scene, silver plated grip frame, varnished walnut grips, frame is double stamped “COLTS / PATENT. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Reproduction Colt red velvet lined casing with a flask, cap tin, & mold.
