ATTRACTIVE GROUP INDUSTRIES 1918A2 BAR LIGHT MACHINE GUN WITH ACCESSORIES

1918A2 BAR light machine gun mfg. by Group Industries on a newly mfg.’d receiver with surplus parts and components. Top of the receiver is marked “BROWNING AUTOMATIC RIFLE/ U S CAL. .30 M 1918 A2/ MAN’F’D BY GROUP INDUSTRIES/ 00177”, with typical “F”, “A”, and “S” selector markings on the left (“F” position functioning as “SEMI”). Top of the bbl. is marked “NE-7/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 4-45”, indicating mfg. by the New England Small Arms Corporation in April of 1945. Various small parts with assorted drawing #s. Receiver exhibits a parkerized finish, with surplus parts exhibiting a matching quality reapplied parkerized finish. Wood forearm and plain black synthetic buttstock with plain steel buttplate and folding shoulder rest. Standard hooded blade front sight with windage and elevation adj. ladder rear sight. MAGS: x16 parkerized 20-rd. mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period khaki canvas web belt with x6 2-cell mag. pouches and contemporary harness, x1 gas piston rejection ring, x1 carry handle, as well as an original TM9-1205 “BROWNING/ MACHIEN GUN,/ CALIBER .30, ALL TYPES/ AND/ GROUND MOUNTS” manual marked to “AT CO. 8TH MARINES/ 2 MAR.
